Julie PARKS-CAVANOUGH

Julie Parks-Cavanough has been teaching dance for 35 years. At the age of 16 Julie was appointed student teacher at “The Johnny Young Talent School” in Liverpool and later moved on to be a teacher.

Julie was a member of “Kids Unlimited” and also appeared in TV shows such as Home and Away, Family and Friends and GP as well as TV commercials and films.

On completion of the HSC Julie was appointed as the Jazz and Tap teacher for a studio in Bankstown.

It was during this time that Julie decided to open her own studio and The Julie Parks Studio of Dance was opened in March 1992.

Julie is still the principal teacher at the studio and teaches the majority of the classes. Julie's favourite classes to teach are jazz and contemporary and she believes choreography is her main strength. Her passion is working with the youngest dancers and helping children who think they can't or shouldn't dance realise their dreams.
